Learn how we're connecting with families during COVID19.
Dealing with cancer is hard no matter what.
By spending time together as a family making memories and being around other families who understand what you’re going through, it makes that journey a little bit easier. Family activities and programs provide an opportunity for families to spend time with one another in a supportive community full of love and understanding.
How to Join
Becoming a Candlelighters family is an easy process. When you meet with your assigned social worker at the hospital you are being treated at, request a New Family Form or click the link below and e-mail it to us. We will be in contact after you send in your forms and make sure we cover any questions you may have.

Join our private Candlelighters Bereavement Community Group on Facebook.
In December 2020, we held our first virtual Time of Remembrance in honor of our children who have passed. We celebrated the lives of Holly Bruno, Gio Baggenstos, Levi Harden, Addy Jo Cliffton, Sophia Teddi Lynn, Cherokee Pizano, Jessica Standford, Collin Wilson and Cameron Hatch. Thank you to Children's Healing Art Project (CHAP) and Dr. Marianne Kabour for hosting a night of sharing and painting. If you are a bereaved parent looking to connect with others, join our Facebook group: http://ow.ly/42d650D0P9d Please email Lisa with questions.
We also understand that when a child passes away the focus should be on the family and not the bills associated with it. Candlelighters offers a one time Emergency Funeral Financial Assistance up to $500 to help ease the burden of a loss. Please contact Lisa@CandlelightersOregon.org.
There are resources to help during your journey with grief and bereavement.
