What is Ride For A Child?  Each year, a group of 45-55 dedicated cyclists join our Ride For A Child (RFAC) team and raise funds for programs that directly serve families in Oregon and SW Washington battling cancer. Riders partner with an Honored Child in our community to highlight the hope and need for support for all Candlelighters families.

What is expected of RFAC team members?
Every team member is encouraged to set a fundraising goal of $2,500 or more. We offer plenty of fundraising ideas and support, and help you set up your own personal website. Groups of riders are  connected with an Honored Child who has recently battled cancer for the year.  Cyclists literally Ride For A Child - and raise awareness and support for Candlelighters families along the way.

Why ride:
Each year, 200 new children and teens will be diagnosed with cancer in Oregon and SW Washington, with more than 1,000 families in treatment at any time. Candlelighters supports these kids and families by providing emergency financial assistance, monthly family activities, bereavement support and in-hospital programs such as catered meals, food pantries, and a weekly snack cart.
