Teen Activities at Mt. Scott Rec. Center
Saturday, March 13th 6:00 p.m.

After Candlelighters families finish dinner and hit the swimming pool, our teens from age 13–19 can meet together for games, crafts and prizes!

WHO can come to this event?

Kids between ages 13–19 only, and meet any of the following criteria:
• Teens who are going through cancer treatment and their teen siblings
• Teens who are finished with treatment and their teen siblings
• Bereaved teens

What if I’d rather swim than hang out with the teens? That’s totally okay! We hope you’ll come hang out with the teen group, but swimming is an option for you too! Can I come to an event even if my teen brother or sister is too sick to come? Absolutely! Just remember to preregister for all events. What should I bring with me? You always need to bring a Responsibility and Liability Waiver signed by both YOU and your PARENT or GUARDIAN. Can my younger or older siblings hang out with me? Sorry, no—but we’re pretty sure they’ll have a great time in the swimming pool. If they can’t/don’t want to swim, Candlelighters will have some games and crafts for them in a separate area.

My parents wondered about supervision…. Parents can be assured that teen events will be supervised and chaperoned by responsible adult representatives from Candlelighters.

Family Swim and Dinner Night!
Mt. Scott Pool and Rec Center • Saturday, March 13th 6:00 p.m.

Please join us at 6:00 p.m. for a delicious dinner of pizza followed by swimming and crafts. Teens can meet together in a separate room for their own fun activities (see below). Candlelighters will have the entire pool to themselves from 6:45–8:45 p.m. This awesome pool features a big slide, diving board, rope swing, lazy river, toddler splash area, kiddy pool, and a jacuzzi for adults.  Registration deadline is March 8th. This event is open to Candlelighters families who have children or teenagers currently in treatment, or were diagnosed within the last five years, or bereaved families within the last five years.
